The City of Philadelphia is investigating the costs and benefits of a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Renewable Energy System and/or plant for the Commerce Department Division of Aviation’s Northeast Philadelphia Airport. Through this effort, the City seeks to confirm the financial and physical feasibility of installing a PV renewable energy system at the site.
The Request for Information (RFI) was released on September 10 and all submissions are due by November 1. The City is seeking information from companies who have substantial experience designing, permitting, constructing, implementing, operating, and maintaining Photovoltiac (PV) renewable energy systems on a commercial scale. The information provided through this RFI process will help facilitate the planning, drafting, and publishing of a Request for Proposals (RFP) in the future.
Interested firms are encouraged to attend the RFI Informational Meeting and site visit at the Northeast Philadelphia Airport which is currently scheduled for September 30, 2019 at 2PM.
