Looking for a sweet event to attend? Visit the 10th Annual Philadelphia Honey Festival from September 6-8! This festival raises awareness about the importance of honey bees to the environment and promotes urban beekeeping and gardening. The festival is visited by about 2,500 people per year! There will be many events and activities for both children and adults to enjoy.  Bee excited to experience:

Glen Foerd on the Delaware
Glen Foerd on the Delaware offers beautiful views.

On September 6, the Philadelphia Honey Festival will be at Glen Foerd on the Delaware. This 21-acre estate and mansion is in Torresdale on the banks of the Delaware River. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this site hosts many special events. The non-profit Glen Foerd Conservation Corporation serves as the stewardship organization that raises funds for programs and maintenance.

Bartram's Garden
Bartram’s Garden is a picturesque site for such a fun event!

On September 8, the festival will be at Bartram’s Garden. This oasis of quiet fields and modest 18th-century farm buildings is where gardening first took root in America. The riverfront site offers a beautiful view of the Philadelphia skyline. Stroll through the upper kitchen garden and the fragrant flower gardens. Or visit the riverside meadow full of grasses and wildflowers. The property also includes playground equipment, picnic areas, and a boat dock. Plus, there are always a host of fun and interesting events taking place on site year-round.
