This year, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation’s outdoor pools will open on a rolling basis from June 17 until June 28. 

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Our pool season will kick off at Bridesburg Pool on Monday, June 17.
2. Pool opening dates are available in our 2019 blog post. Use our Finder app to find a pool near you.
3. Free swim lessons are available at our outdoor pools this summer. Search for lessons near you.
4. Parks & Rec is still hiring lifeguards to keep our pools safe this summer. To become a lifeguard, you must attend a screening and lifeguarding course. Find out how to get started.
5. Suit Up for Summer is a citywide campaign to collect and distribute new swimwear and swim accessories for Philly’s youth. Contribute to our swimwear drive.
