Rebuild and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation have announced plans to start improvements on the playground at Miles Mack.

The first phase of work on this treasured Mantua neighborhood play space will begin with community engagement later this month.

Residents and community groups will be at the center of planning the improvements for Miles Mack. The playground’s namesake, community leader Miles Mack, was dedicated to improving the lives of young people. The investments to the playground and building will help enhance youth outreach and athletics programs championed by Mack and many others like him at the site.

The planned improvements at Miles Mack are an example of how Rebuild is about more than just fixing buildings and parks. It’s about a making meaningful investments in Philadelphia’s communities.
