Mayor’s Office of Reintegration Services—RISE

The Mayor’s Office of Reintegration Services (RISE) works closely with enrolled participants to develop individualized plans focused on successful and permanent reintegration and long-term self-sustainability. The People’s Paper Co-Op

The People’s Paper Co-op (PPC) is an ongoing initiative by the Village of Arts and Humanities that connects formerly incarcerated individuals together with artists, civil rights lawyers, and many others to run a multitude of programs and initiatives. The PPC works with individuals directly impacted by the criminal justice system to develop the tools, skills, and networks to advocate for themselves, their families, and residents across the city.

Bridges to Home Program of the Mental Health Partnerships

Bridges to Home focuses on women and people who identify as female who are impacted by the criminal justice system. Sankofa Healing Studio

Focus on healing of women and girls who have been trauma-impacted and justice-involved. Using a gender-responsive and trauma-specific way.

Our approach includes the use of artistic expression to address the complex trauma women are dealing with. Many women who have had traumatic experiences are unable to verbally express their emotions or simply aren’t ready to talk about painful past experience. Using arts and crafts, women are able to learn a new skill, forge a safe therapeutic bond, and begin their healing journey.

Mural Arts Program Restorative Justice Women’s Guild

This arts and wellness-focused paid reentry program, serves the unique needs of returning women and their families, including both personal and professional development, supportive services, resource-sharing, mentorship, relationship-building, and entrepreneurship – with a focus on job readiness.
