The Department of Revenue has received many questions about Philadelphia’s School Income Tax (SIT) via email and social media. Although the tax has been on the books since 1967, we realize it is still misunderstood sometimes.

Deputy Revenue Commissioner Dave Dorman has been working for the City for over 30 years. We asked him to answer a few of the most commonly-asked questions about SIT.
