Update: On June 30, 2019 the Philacycle program was discontinued and is no longer enrolling new members.
We all know that recycling is good for the environment. But, did you know that you can earn rewards for recycling? Thanks to a City program called Philacycle, you can get rewarded for recycling!
Philacyclers are just everyday people who are recycling, volunteering at events or clean-ups or even participating in online quizzes. They engage residents and visitors in the best practices of recycling at public events and in the community. By doing this, they earn points that allow them to shop online or donate points to local schools. You can even use the Recyclebank app on your smartphone to track your points!

Through Philacycle, Philadelphians can earn points by completing small tasks, like placing a can in a recycling bin, as well as larger efforts, like volunteering at the Philadelphia Marathon. Both help our city by diverting waste from our landfills.

Each of us can have a lasting impact on creating a greener city just by making small changes in our daily routine. A cleaner Philadelphia begins with you.
