Philadelphia’s LOVE sculpture is one of the most photographed spots in the city. If you want to get married or renew your vows at the sculpture, you can sign up for Wedding Wednesdays.
Time slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. See below.
What's provided
If you sign up for a Wedding Wednesdays ceremony, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation will provide:
- A 30-minute time slot for your ceremony.
- A 20′ x 20′ area in front of the LOVE sculpture, reserved for you and your guests. This area will be separated from the park by red velvet ropes.
- An officiant from Journeys of the Heart to conduct the ceremony. Alternatively, you can use your own officiant, but the ceremony fee still applies.
Your ceremony will take place rain or shine. In the case of rain, umbrellas are available for the bride and groom.
You’re welcome to add personal touches to your event, such as music or a photographer.
Where and when
Wedding Wednesday takes place each Wednesday from March through October.
The ceremonies are held by the LOVE sculpture on the eastern side of the park, closest to City Hall.

Cost
There’s a $200 fee to get married or renew your vows in LOVE Park. Payment is made to the Fairmount Park Conservancy.
This fee is in addition to the cost of getting a marriage license.
How
For weddings, you must have a valid Pennsylvania marriage license on the day of your ceremony. Marriage licenses are valid on the third day after you apply, and remain valid for 60 days from the issue date.
You can learn more about getting a marriage license from the Register of Wills.
Ceremonies are held from March through October, with multiple time slots available on each Wedding Wednesday. To find a date, view the calendar and adjust the filters for your desired time range.
When you’ve chosen a time slot, email lovepark@phila.gov to reserve it.
There are no upcoming events.
You’ll receive a confirmation of your request via email. It will include an online payment link for your ceremony fee.
The fee is $200 and is paid to the Fairmount Park Conservancy.
Your time slot is not secured until you pay this fee. All payments are final and are non-refundable in the event of wedding cancellation. Rescheduling is available.
An officiant from Journeys of the Heart will be assigned to you. They can answer questions about the legal aspects of getting married and discuss the details of your ceremony. You might talk to them about:
- The procession.
- Guests.
- Vows.
- Ring exchanges.
For wedding ceremonies, make sure to bring your marriage license.
If you don’t show up for your ceremony, you won’t receive a refund.
