Our parks, playgrounds, and recreation centers are celebrating the spookiest month of the year with a variety of parades, hayrides, and other hauntingly fun events!

1. 8th Annual Halloween Hoedown

Join the Friends of Penn Treaty Park for their annual Halloween bash, sponsored by Penn Treaty Special Services District and Johnny’s Hots. There will be a free pumpkin patch, Halloween games, prizes for best costumes, and spooky surprises.

2. Fall Fun Fest

This fun, festive, family event will feature pumpkins, scarecrow making, food, games, and more!

3. Halloween Costume Party

There will be performances and treats at this holiday party!

4. The Witch Market

An autumn evening of pure magic, the Witch Market is a brand new Halloween-inspired event featuring strange shopping vendors, tarot & poetry readings, and delicious bites! This event is free to attend with pay-as-you-go food and drink.

5. Halloween Double Feature Screening

Venice Island will present their annual double feature screening to get you in the mood for Halloween! Light refreshments will be available. Hocus Pocus will play 6 p.m., and The Thing will play at 8 p.m.

6. Eastwick Halloween Party

Eastwick Regional Playground will host its annual Halloween Party for children ages 3 to 11. There will be spooktacular decorations, games, pictures, snacks, and candy. The fee for this scary night is $5 and a bag of candy. The witches and ghouls will be there to greet you!

7. Halloween Dance

This Halloween dance is sponsored by Carousel House Recreation Center, which is extending an invitation to all persons with mental and physical disabilities ages 16 and over. There will be a costume party, dancing, prizes, and dinner! Everyone must pre-register.

8. Healthy Halloween 2018

Families are welcome to come to this annual event in costume and enjoy a petting zoo, nature play, messy arts activities, live Halloween music, healthy treats, and other family fun.

9. Cobbs Creek Fall Festival

There will be apple cider pressing, storytelling, bat-themed crafts, a nocturnal wildlife walk, and other fall-themed activities. Don’t miss the fun!

10. Howloween

Bring your four-pawed friends for a dog costume contest at Powers Park. There will also be a pet adoption organized by PAWS.

11. Trick-or-Treat Trail

Customize your own Halloween-themed trick-or-treat bag and follow the trail map to discover tasty surprises throughout the park. This event is presented by Fox Rothschild and is recommended for children 10 and under.

12. Port Richmond Fall Festival

This fall festival will include over 100 vendors, local breweries, food trucks, live music, and kids activities. Children in costume can trick-or-treat with our vendors and bob for apples!

13. Halloween at Dickinson Square

Join the Friends of Dickinson Square Park for games and activities for kids, plus a parade with prizes for best costumes!

14. Haunted Hayride

Hunting Park United is hosting this event with the 25th Police District to provide a safe location for children to Trick or Treat.

15. Trunk or Treat

Houseman Recreation Center will host Trunk or Treat, a safer way to trick or treat this Halloween! Come to the rec center for games, contests, prizes, and of course, treats!
